Doing what you love….

I just got in a conversation with someone about this and wanted to post about it. I’m a graphic and web designer and have a background in interactive media. I know that I could have went for a different field and I could be looking at a desk jockey job or go into the over populated fields of study, but something pushed me to where I am. I’m who I am because of Disciple Designs, Disciple Gaming and all of the things I do. I work hard at what I do because I LOVE WHAT I DO! I have people as me daily for designs and things, but what is it all for if it’s not something I love to do? Why would you ever work in a field where you don’t love what you do? Great lawyers make great money, everyone knows this, but what about the lawyers that got in it for the money? There are lawyers that work day in and day out hating all the paper work and their work shows it, those lawyers make a dramatically lower salary than the guys that love what they do. People that have a passion for what they do can make a career out of it. But when the numbers get in the way your work shows it. Loss of interest, repetitive syndrome kicks in, you loose sight of the fact you choose the work you’ll do for the rest of your life; why not choose the path you care about. At the end of the day your career shouldn’t be based on the money you make, because if you love what you do you’ll progress and gain skill and talents that surpass others. You’ll find originality in your work and the money will come. Well that’s my post for the day :)
